Out of print and lost to time since 2014, “Sierra’s Song” was originally issued on October 13, 2009 via the Beverly Hills 90210 Soundtrack. In addition to The All-American Rejects, the compilation also boasted a collaboration between Adele and The Raconteurs, another one with N*E*R*D featuring Santigold, and plenty of exclusive tracks from other notables of the era.

Chronologically, “Sierra’s Song” was recorded around the time of “When The World Comes Down,” AAR’s third studio album. In an abstract sense, the song is somewhat of a sonic bridge between certain ballad-centric compositions and arrangements explored on “Move Along” (“It Ends Tonight,” “Straightjacket Feeling”) and those later realized on “When The World Comes Down” (“The Wind Blows,” “Another Heart Calls”).

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of “When The World Comes” and properly kick off the band’s first North American headlining tour in over a decade (starting August 11, 2023), Dark Operative is ecstatic to bring “Sierra’s Song” back from the beyond via a special full-color 7” picture disc flexi included with every single copy of the reissued LP. Individual standalone copies are also available for those who already own a copy of the LP and the song can once again be heard on any digital platform worldwide.

Please enjoy.
